About the Sekonda Brand

Sekonda is a household name in the UK, having been the best selling watch brand in the UK for the past 20 years. Sekonda are part of the Time Products Company who also own watch brand, Limit.

Sekonda was launched in 1966, but it wasn't until the late 1980's when the Sekonda launched an audacious advertising campaign with one of the biggest British bands of the time, Madness, that the Sekonda watch brand really became a house hold name.

Fast forward to 2005 and Sekonda watches were offering more than just affordable, classic men's and ladies watches. Sekonda were also producing a wide range of men's sports watches - designer watches which were launched to compete with the newly launched designer watch ranges from the likes of D&G, DKNY etc.

In 2006 Sekonda rebranded its men's designer watches to create the One watch range. The Sekonda ladies watch range was also rebranded, becoming what is now known as the Seksy brand.

Today, the Seksy brand is a key player in the ladies accessories market, keeping up to date with all the latest fashion trends to offer ultra fashionable watch designs at amazingly low prices. Seksy watches are designed to be trend led, and their designs often have a jewellery feel. Mother of Pearl details and Swarovski crystal embellishments are featured heavily across the range.

Seksy are also renowned for their advertising campaigns and sponsorship deals, having sponsored hugely popular TV shows like Katie and Peter and the X Factor. Another huge pull for the brand is its endorsement by pop band Girls Aloud. Being Seksy brand ambassadors, Girls Aloud are frequently spotted wearing a Seksy watch; this publicity coupled with Seksy's fashionable designs have helped to catapult the Seksy brand to its current dizzy heights.

This separation of the Sekonda brand allowed Sekonda to get back to basics, the result of this being the creation of watch ranges that would cater for the needs of all consumer groups. The Sekonda watch range now offers a wide range of both men's and ladies watches from £30 to £100. Sekonda offer sports watches, chronograph watches, bracelet watches as well as classic, every day watches for under £30. Sekonda have also introduced a range of keenly priced 9ct gold watches for women.
