Trollbeads are the originators of the compassable fashion bead bracelets creating unique and individual pieces of jewellery in 1976. Trollbeads were founded by a Danish silver smith Svend Nielsen in Copenhagen in 1976, his inspiration was to create pieces of jewellery that would originally exhibit the Scandinavian culture in which he lived and would be the next generation in charm bracelets.

Svend Nielsen created designs that were inspired by fairy tales, fables, and the landscape that was around him and these designs were crafted into beads that would become the now world famous Trollbeads. The theory behind Troll beads was new and revolutionary in the jewellery world to create a piece of jewellery that was almost liquid and would be interchangeable with mood, fashion or even the outfit that the wearer was to wear that day.

Trollbeads are all handcrafted by members of the Troll team using precious metals such as Silver and Gold in both its 18ct and 22ct form as well as glass to create the bead phenomenon that is Trollbeads. The team blend old and new techniques like 'Cire Perdu' alternatively known as the 'lost Wax' which has been used for more than 3000 years and new techniques like computer generated engraving to aid the creation of the Small and Large Scroll Trollbeads since 2006. The addition of engraving to Trollbeads in 2006 has opened a new avenue of individuality to the Trollbead enthusiast and to those who want to buy something special for that loved one who loves Trollbeads.
